P16 : MOON (門)

Made by attaching Hanji (traditional Korean paper) to a wooden frame, the traditional sliding door is a flexible boundary, dividing space without completely blocking it and allowing light and energy to softly pass through. In traditional Hanok, the door is the metaphor for the point between closed and open, outside and inside, and stillness and movement, serving not only as a physical boundary but also as an emotional buffer. This season, OUWR explores the structural beauty and temporality of the door through the visual language of gaps, grids, and folds, and captures the flow of the moment when the once closed world reopens and continues.

P17 : PODO FAMILY

[PODO] is a traditional pattern with the grape's vines and fruits as a motif, symbolizing abundance, prosperity, fertility, and longevity—derived from its natural trait of bearing numerous fruits on a single stem. The endlessly spreading vine represents the continuity of life and lineage, and the tendrils, said to resemble a dragon's beard, were also interpreted as the origin of birth and conception of great figures. They often appear in ceramic crafts like Joseon white porcelain moon jars and have been used as a symbol of auspicious wishes for family prosperity and the flourishing of descendants in depictions like children pulling grapevine. This season, OUWR aims for modern reinterpretation to allow the grape's symbolism of vitality and fruit to softly sink into the curve of the garments.
