: I FEEL, ALIVE :

Rhythm is the most primal language through which we recognize that we are alive.

Energy once resting in stillness encounters a resonance and begins to move. A small wave passes through the body and spreads into space.

Repeating cadences weave our breaths into one, and the energy they gather expands into a vibrant vitality.

Korea's pungmulnori and nong-ak were traditional languages of breathing, moving, and sharing the experience of being alive.

As sound and gesture, rotation and repetition come together, a single cadence grows into a greater resonance that connects us all.

OUWR reinterprets the structures of rhythm found in resonance, cadence, and tension through pattern and silhouette.

Connecting and releasing lines, repeating structures, and a sense of cohesive form capture the moment when quiet energy awakens into vitality.

This collection reimagines the rhythms of Korean tradition through a contemporary design language.

P25 : ULLIM

All rhythm begins with a single resonance.

The ULLIM pattern is inspired by the joimgae of the janggu and the resonating waves of the kkwaenggwari.

Through the repetition of connecting and releasing dots and lines, it captures the first moment when sound rings out with clarity rather than quietly dissolving into the body.

P26 : JANGDAN

A single resonance repeats and becomes jangdan.

Inspired by the circular forms of the buk and the jing, the JANGDAN pattern expands upon the structure of the ULLIM pattern.

Repeating circles and rhythmic forms trace the flow of energy as it moves outward from within, expressing the moment when vitality gradually unfolds.

P27 : JOIEM

Every resonance is supported by an underlying structure. The JOIEM pattern simplifies the forms of the joimjul and jorongmok of the janggu.

The repeated acts of tightening and binding create the instrument's balance, and that balance becomes the order that carries rhythm forward.

It expresses the unseen forces of tension and cohesion through a refined geometric structure.
